Appraisals
The word appraisals has a number of meanings. When we say we do appraisals, we mean written insurance appraisals. This form is what you need to be able to insure your jewelry. It is a detailed report describing the amount and purity of precious metals, and the size and quality of the stones. Most importantly, it sets the replacement cost, or what you should expect to pay at regular retail.
The charge for an appraisal is $35 for the first item and $10 for each additional. We can also charge by the hour if you have a whole group of items. The hourly charge is $85. If you have keep your copy of the appraisal, we will update them for free. This should be done every 3-5 years. Appraisals are done by appointment only.
If you just want to know what a piece would sell for or what you might be able to sell it for, we'll be happy to provide that service at no charge.
